JISC Historic Books

Description: JISC Historic Books, part of the new JISC eCollections service, contains the full text or page images of over 300,000 books published in England before 1800 and 65,000 19th century books from the following collections: Early English Books Online (EEBO);Eighteenth Century Collections Online (ECCO); 19th Century books from the British Library collection.

JISC Journal Archives

Description: JISC Journal Archives provides a single platform to search more than 450 journal back files from 8 major publishers: Brill, Institution of Civil Engineers, Institute of Physics, ProQuest, Oxford University Press, Cambridge University Press, the Royal Society of Chemistry and Taylor and Francis as well as the complete run of the feminist magazine Spare Rib.

John Johnson Collection

Description: A wonderfull collection of over 65,000 colour images from the Bodleian Library’s John Johnson Collection of Printed Ephemera, offering unique insights into the changing nature of everyday life in the eighteenth, nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Made freely available in the UK via the JISC Digitisation Programme in partnership with the Bodleian Library and Proquest.

Access Information: To access the John Johnson Collection off campus, please select the option “Remote Users: login via your home organisation”, select your region – United Kingdom, select “Bradford College” from the list of organisations and click on the login button, enter your college username and password.
