Description: This database contains nearly 350 full text journals covering topics such as computer science, programming, information systems, and software. Journals include Computerworld, PC Magazine, Journal of Information Systems, Software Magazine etc.

Access Information: Please use your college username and password to access this database from off campus. You may need to select “UK Higher Education” from the drop down list and then select Bradford College.

Emerald

Description: Emerald is a database of over 300 peer-reviewed journals. Subject coverage of the journals includes marketing, human resource management, training, economics, hospitality management, quality, engineering, built environment, health services management, social care, accounting, and organisation studies.

Access Information: To access Emerald off campus click on “Log in” at the top of the Emerald home page. Ignore the login boxes and click on the word “Shibboleth”. Select the “UK Higher Education” option from the drop down list and then select Bradford College from the list of institutions. Enter your college username and password.

Description: MediaPlus is a resource of Jisc-licensed news, film, image and music content including high profile collections such as ITN, Getty images and Wellcome Library images and sound,  hosted and delivered by Alexander Street. MediaPlus also contains instructional videos from Teachers’ TV.

Safari Books Online

Description: Safari Books Online is a collection of 172 books which are available electronically on or off campus. The collection includes titles on computer science, desktop applications, desktop publishing, graphics, operating systems, programming, security, and software engineering. You can browse the titles selected by clicking on the Custom Collection tab. You can download or print sections, but please note the Terms of Service which prohibit downloading the entire content of the books. Please log out when you have finished your session so that other people can use it – simply click on Bradford College User at the top right hand side of the screen and then click on “Sign Out & Clear Session”.

Access Information: Please use your college username and password to access Safari Books Online both on and off campus. You will need to click on “UK Federation Users Sign In” and select Bradford College from the drop down list and then enter your college username and password.
