Description: [email protected] is a single search tool that allows you to search for keywords in your subject area across the library catalogue and the majority of electronic resources that the College Library subscribes to, including EBSCOHost databases, Emerald and Britannica Online. Please note that Lawtel, LexisLibrary and Westlaw are not searchable using DISCOVER.

Description: Emerald is a database of over 300 peer-reviewed journals. Subject coverage of the journals includes marketing, human resource management, training, economics, hospitality management, quality, engineering, built environment, health services management, social care, accounting, and organisation studies.

Access Information: To access Emerald off campus click on “Log in” at the top of the Emerald home page. Ignore the login boxes and click on the word “Shibboleth”. Select the “UK Higher Education” option from the drop down list and then select Bradford College from the list of institutions. Enter your college username and password.

Description: This online reference source provides up-to-date information on contemporary social issues taken from a wide range of sources including newspaper archives, articles, key facts, government statistics, and key organisations.

Access Information: To access Issues Online off campus under Your Home Institution Shibboleth login click on “go to the login area”. Type in Bradford College and click on “Login”, and then enter your College username and password.

Lexis Library

Description: Updated daily Lexis Library provides access to a wide range of case materials, UK legislation, full text law journals and legal news. Click on the Sources tab for a full list of subscribed sources.

Access Information: To access Lexis Library off campus please select the option “Academic Sign-In”, then select “UK Access Management Federation” and click on GO. Choose your home institution – Bradford College, and enter your college username and password.

Description: InfoTrac Newsstand provides access to the full text of local, regional and national newspapers and allows users to search for articles by title, headline, date, newspaper section, or other fields. The database offers a one-stop source for current news and searchable archives.

SocINDEX with Full Text

Description: SocINDEX with Full Text is a sociology research database and contains the full text for more than 820 journals dating back to 1908. Subjects covered include sociology, criminology, ethnic and racial studies, gender, the family, politics, social theory, and social structure.

Access Information: Please use your college username and password to access this database from off campus. You may need to select “UK Higher Education” from the drop down list and then select Bradford College.
